‘Zero Carbon Built Environment’
The showcase wall at the entrance to BE-ST’s Innovation Factory outside Glasgow was built as part of their large showcase for COP26. Built Environment - Smarter Transformation (BE-ST) is positioned as a unique launchpad for a zero carbon built environment, engaging with a wide range of clients, contractors, designers and supporters all working towards this goal. BE-ST is a major supporter of the K-BRIQ® having provided significant funding and support throughout the K-BRIQs® research and development.
The logo for the re-brand of BE-ST from Construction Scotland Innovation Centre, is boldly offset in our Gillespie Magenta Light against a backdrop of Gillespie Magenta K-BRIQs®.
With 1.5 tonnes of local construction and demolition waste stored within the wall, it is a talking point with visitors on BE-ST’s factory tours and events.
The wall has also saved over 300kg of carbon emissions by building the wall in K-BRIQs® rather than traditional clay bricks, the equivalent of travelling from Glasgow to Paris in a petrol car.
