‘Intrinsic part of the new campus’

King Charles was invited to open the "fantastic" new campus of Heriot Watt University Dubai the day before his opening address of COP28 in Dubai, where he advocated for greater global action and accountability on climate change.  A proud feature wall of K-BRIQs® in Gullane Cyan is now an intrinsic part of the new campus, and was central to the Heriot Watt ClimateHub and CleanTech exhibition which ran alongside COP28.  Kenoteq is a spin-out company of Heriot Watt University (Edinburgh), and it is an honour to provide a legacy on the new Dubai campus.

The K-BRIQ® wall recycled over 5 tonnes of construction and demolition waste in its construction and saved over 1 tonne of carbon emissions compared to building in a traditional brick.

As a showcase within the ClimateHub and CleanTech exhibition, the
K-BRIQ® wall was a talking point for many dignitories including King Charles, Sir David Cameron (UK Foreign Minister) and Scottish First Minister Humza Yousef as well as visiting delegations from across the world and key connections of the university.
